Choosing a template
Start your conference site from one of five templates — three multi-page academic styles (ACL, ACM, IEEE) and two single-page workshop layouts — or begin from a blank canvas. Templates only set a starting point you can change later.
Purpose
A template gives your site a starting structure, set of pages, and color scheme. You choose one on the Design tab the first time you build, and you can refine everything afterward — the template is a head start, not a commitment.
The templates

ACL Academic — a multi-page academic style with serif headings and warm accents, suited to linguistics and humanities conferences.

ACM Modern — a clean, multi-page editorial style with teal accents.

IEEE Professional — a multi-page professional style in maroon and gold, suited to technical and data-heavy conferences.

Workshop Classic — a single-page layout with a background-image hero and a raised content card, navigated by in-page anchor links.

Workshop Modern — a single-page layout with a gradient hero and flat sections (the default selection).
Starting your site

On the Design tab, browse the template cards — each shows a name, a short description, and a color preview.

Click a card to select it, then Use Template to build your site from it — or Start from Scratch to begin with a blank canvas.

The template applies its pages, sections, and color scheme. From there, head to the Editor to make it yours.
Tips
The ACL / ACM / IEEE templates are multi-page sites with a top navigation bar — good for larger conferences with separate pages for the program, committee, and so on. The Workshop templates are single scrolling pages with anchor navigation — ideal for a workshop or a smaller event. Pick by the shape of your event, then adjust the styling.
You can switch templates from the Design tab with Change Template, but doing so resets your design and pages and can't be undone — so it's best done early, before you've invested in content. Once a site is published, changing the template isn't offered.
