Submitting your work

Start a submission from the conference — pick a program, then file a paper, proposal, or poster as an author.

Attendees can also be authors. The submission portal lists every open program for the conference and is your entry point to submit work.

Purpose

To choose which program (or track) you're submitting to, so you can start a paper, proposal, or poster submission. Submitting automatically makes you an Author for that conference.

When you use it

Use it while a conference's calls are open. The portal's Submit Paper/Proposal quick action checks for open programs first: if none exist yet, it tells you to check back later instead of opening an empty page.

It covers both kinds of submission: a paper goes to a program or to an approved sub-workshop, while a proposal goes to a workshop container — the program that collects workshop proposals. The submission page shows whichever applies to each program.

Walkthrough

  1. 1

Open the conference portal (/portal/<id>) and click Submit Paper — or use Submit Your Work on the conference home page. You'll be prompted to sign in if needed.

  2. 2

Browse the Available Submission Programs. Each card shows the program name and its submission type (Paper, Proposal, Poster, or a custom type). A card shows the program's description only if its chairs chose to display it; otherwise the list stays short and easy to scan.

  3. 3

For a container program (one that holds workshops or sub-events), its card's Submit sends a proposal to the program itself. Its approved sub-programs are listed in their own section below the program cards (for example Workshops), each with its own Submit.

  4. 4

Click the program's submission button to open the submission form and fill in your title, abstract, authors, and files.

Tips

Pick the right program

Choose the program that fits your work carefully — conferences usually keep submissions within the program you started in, so switching later may not be possible.
