Program Chair Console

A map of the Program Chair Console — how its tabs let you run a single program end to end, from settings and committee to submissions, reviews, decisions, and camera-ready.

Last updated: 2026-06-28

The Program Chair Console is your workspace for running one program (track) inside a conference. It opens at /console/program-chair.

If you chair more than one program, the console first shows a selection grid; pick a program card to open its workspace. (If you chair exactly one, it opens straight into that program.) Each card shows the program name, the conference and year, your role, the current phase, the review mode (Direct, ARR, or AI Review), and headline counts for submissions, members, pending reviews, and decisions.

Once a program is open, a phase bar runs across the top — for a Direct-review program the phases are Setup → Pre-review → Review → Decision — followed by the tab navigation.

Purpose

Give a Program Chair one place to configure their program, build the committee, track submissions, run the review process, make and publish decisions, and collect camera-ready materials — all scoped to the single program they chair.

When you use it

  • To set up your program: review mode, committee structure, important dates, submission rules, and email templates.
  • To recruit and manage your committee — area chairs, senior area chairs, and reviewers.
  • To monitor submissions and the progress of reviews.
  • To make accept/reject decisions and notify authors.
  • To collect camera-ready materials from accepted papers.

The canonical tabs

These are the tabs for the default Full tier + Direct review configuration, in the order they appear:

  1. 1

Overview — at-a-glance stats, program status, submission breakdown, quick actions, upcoming deadlines, and recent activity.

  2. 2

Settings — configure the program: program info, review config, tracks, submission config, important dates, SAC/AC, camera-ready, and email templates.

  3. 3

Committee — build and manage your team: committee members (chairs and area chairs) and reviewers / PC members, with invite, batch import, and email tools.

  4. 4

Submissions — the full table of submissions to your program, with a Desk Screening sub-tab for triage.

  5. 5

SAC-AC — assign senior area chairs to area chairs and area chairs to papers.

  6. 6

Reviewer Assignment — match reviewers to papers using affinities, bids, and conflicts, then run and review the assignment.

  7. 7

Review Status — track progress across Reviewer Status, AC Status, and SAC Status sub-tabs (with red-dot alerts for reports and escalations).

  8. 8

Reviews — read and manage the reviews submitted for each paper.

  9. 9

Decisions — make and publish accept/reject decisions and notify authors.

  10. 10

Camera-Ready — track camera-ready submission progress for accepted papers.

  11. 11

Communications — post Announcements and run program Channels.

Tips

Tabs vary by review mode

The tabs above are the canonical Full tier + Direct review set. The visible tabs change with the program's review mode and phase:

  • Two-Stage Rolling Review (ARR) replaces the review-workflow tabs with Commitments (Overview · Settings · Committee · Commitments · Decisions · Communications).
  • Instant AI Review shows phase-specific tabs — Setup (Program Settings · Important Dates · Team Recruitment), Submission, an AI Review table, and Decision (AI Recommendations · Oversight · Final Decisions).
  • Standard / Light conferences show a simpler set — Overview · Settings · Committee · Submissions · Decisions · Communications — without the reviewer assignment and review-status workflow.

So if you don't see a tab described here, check your program's review mode and current phase.

Higher-tier features show but stay locked

On a Standard or Light conference, tabs that need a higher tier (such as Reviewer Assignment, Review Status, Reviews, and Camera-Ready) still appear but are disabled with a lock icon, and a banner at the top names what's blocked. Upgrade the conference tier to unlock them.
