Notifications
How the Notifications bell and the Notifications page work — clicking an item in the bell marks it read and opens the Notifications page, where items are grouped by conference and type.
Purpose
Notifications tell you about activity that affects you: decisions on your papers, reviews and rebuttal windows, announcements, role invitations, registration opening and upcoming deadlines. The Notifications bell in the top bar shows your unread count and your most recent items; the Notifications page lists all of them.
When you use it
- When the bell shows an unread count and you want to see what changed.
- To catch up on everything for one conference, grouped by type.
- To clear your unread count once you have reviewed what is new.
Walkthrough
- 1
Click the Notifications bell in the top bar. The dropdown shows your latest notifications; unread ones are highlighted with a dot.
- 2
Click any notification in the dropdown. It is marked as read and the Notifications page opens. You can also click View all → at the bottom of the dropdown.
- 3
On the Notifications page, items are grouped first by conference, then by type (for example Reviews or Announcements). Both section titles are shown in bold. Click a section title to expand or collapse it; every section starts expanded, so the item you opened from the bell is in view.
- 4
Unread items have a bold, colored title. Click Mark read next to a type heading to mark that section as read, or Mark all as read at the top of the page to clear everything.
Tips
Notifications on the Notifications page are for reading only — clicking an item does not open another page. Go to the relevant console or portal (for example, your author console for a decision) to act on it.
Items that do not belong to a single conference are grouped under System / Cross-conference, which always appears last.
