Review Progress

Track review completion paper-by-paper across your Area Chairs' papers and spot which papers still need reviews from the Review Progress tab.

Last updated: 2026-06-28

Purpose

The Review Progress tab shows every paper assigned to your Area Chairs and how many of its reviews are in. Each paper targets 3 reviews; the tab tells you how many are complete, which reviewers are still outstanding, and how urgent each gap is — so you can chase the papers most at risk before the deadline.

When you use it

  • To see, at a glance, how close your area is to having every paper fully reviewed.
  • To find the papers that are missing one or more reviews and need follow-up.
  • To open a paper and check the per-reviewer status and scores.

Walkthrough

  1. 1

Open the Senior Area Chair Console, select your program, and open the Review Progress tab.

  2. 2

Read the summary badges: total Papers, Complete, Needs 1, Needs 2+, and an overall Progress percentage.

  3. 3

Use the filter buttons — Needs Attention (the default), Complete, or All — and the search box (by title, Area Chair, or paper number) to narrow the list.

  4. 4

Sort the table by Paper, Area Chair, Reviews, or Status. The Reviewers column shows a colored pill per reviewer; Status flags each paper as Complete, Needs Review, or Critical.

  5. 5

Click a row to expand it for paper details and a reviewer table (reviewer number, name, status, and score). Use View Paper to open the paper's review page in a new tab.

Tips

Status reflects what's missing

A paper is Complete when all 3 reviews are in, Needs Review when one is missing, and Critical when two or more are missing. Keep the Needs Attention filter on and sort by Status to work the most urgent papers first.

TODO — confirm Assign / Remind buttons

The expanded reviewer table shows Assign and Remind buttons next to outstanding reviewers. In the current build these do not yet have wired behavior — confirm whether they are active in your deployment. View Paper does work and opens the paper's review page.
