4.9.9

Invited Submissions

Invite speakers and collect their non-peer-reviewed content. This sub-tab is not built yet — it currently shows a coming-soon placeholder.

Last updated: 2026-06-28

Purpose

The Invited Submissions sub-tab is where you will invite speakers (invited talks, panels, industrial talks, and similar) and track the content they submit. In the current build it is a placeholder: opening it displays a "Coming with the Phase 2 invitation manager" message, so there are no invitation controls here yet.

Coming soon

The invitation manager ships with the Phase 2 invited-content workflow. Until then, this sub-tab only displays a placeholder.

TODO — confirm

The current code renders Invited Submissions as a placeholder, not an interactive manager. The invitation fields, statuses, and portal behavior of the finished sub-tab are not yet implemented, so the walkthrough below is limited to what you can do today. Confirm the final feature set before documenting steps.

When you use it

Once the feature ships, you'll use this sub-tab to send invitations, set deadlines, and monitor what invited speakers have uploaded. Today, the related configuration lives on the Settings sub-tab.

Walkthrough

  1. 1

Open the Conference Leadership Console, select your conference, open the Presentation System tab, and click the Invited Submissions sub-tab to see the current status.

  2. 2

Meanwhile, define what invited speakers must upload on the Settings sub-tab under Invitation Requirements (paper, slides, video, poster) and add a custom message for the invited submission portal.

  3. 3

Accepted invited submissions feed the Session Plan planner's counts (invited talks, tutorials, and similar), so they're already part of your capacity math once recorded.

Tips

In the meantime
  • Invited submissions are non-peer-reviewed content; they appear with an "invited" badge in the Sessions sub-tab once assigned to a session.
  • Set your Invitation Requirements now so the portal is ready the moment the invitation manager ships.
