Payments
The Payments tab of the Conference Leadership Console — connect Stripe and sign the platform agreement so you can take registration payments, then find your fee invoices and receipts.
Purpose
The Payments tab is where you set up and manage how your conference takes money. It is split into two sub-tabs:
- Connect & Agreement — sign the Platform Services Agreement and connect a Stripe account so attendees can pay to register. Registration payments flow through Stripe and settle into your organization's bank account.
- Invoices & Receipts — the fee documents Airballoon issues to you: AirUp storage and submission invoices (paid through Stripe) and your platform-fee receipt.
When you use it
Open the Payments tab early, before registration opens, to get Stripe connected — no agreement and no connected account means no paid registrations. Come back later to check your connection status, switch your billing model (Standard accounts), open your Stripe Dashboard, or download fee documents after the conference ends.
Walkthrough
- 1
Open the Conference Leadership Console and select your conference, then click the Payments tab.
- 2
Use the sub-tab bar at the top to switch between Connect & Agreement and Invoices & Receipts. The tab opens on Connect & Agreement by default.
- 3
Start in Connect & Agreement to work through the three-step setup: sign the agreement, connect Stripe, and reach the "Ready" state.
- 4
Once the conference has run, switch to Invoices & Receipts to view or download the fee documents Airballoon has issued you.
Tips
Attendees can only pay once the agreement is signed and a Stripe account is connected and fully enabled. Do this well ahead of your registration launch so nothing blocks your first sign-ups.
Connect & Agreement controls money coming in (attendees paying you). Invoices & Receipts is about fees flowing the other way — what Airballoon charges you. Don't expect attendee registration payments to appear in Invoices & Receipts; those are itemized in your Stripe dashboard.
