Reviewer Status
The Reviewer Status sub-tab is a read-only dashboard that tracks your reviewers across four stages — bidding, assignment, review progress, and workload — so you can spot who hasn't bid, who's overloaded, and who's running late.
Purpose
The Reviewer Status sub-tab (under Review Status) is a monitoring dashboard for your reviewers. It pulls together each reviewer's activity across the whole review lifecycle and presents it in four sections:
- Bidding Progress — how many bids each reviewer has placed against the required minimum, broken down by bid strength (Very High through Very Low).
- Assignment Status — how many papers each reviewer is assigned, with average affinity and average bid scores for those assignments.
- Review Progress — completed vs. pending reviews per reviewer, plus overdue counts.
- Workload Distribution — a bar chart of papers-per-reviewer plus lists of over-loaded and under-loaded reviewers.
This is the reviewer view of the Full tier, Direct review mode pipeline. Each section has summary stat tiles at the top, a searchable and sortable table, and pagination.
Reviewer Status is for monitoring — it shows progress and outliers but doesn't have buttons to send reminders or reassign papers. Make assignment changes in the Reviewer Assignment tab and send nudges from Communications.
When you use it
Open Reviewer Status throughout the bidding and reviewing periods: before bidding closes to see who's at "Not Started," after assignment to check load balance, and as the review deadline nears to track completion and chase overdue reviews.
Walkthrough
- 1
Open the Program Chair Console, select your program, click Review Status, then the Reviewer Status sub-tab (it opens here by default).
- 2
Use the section bar to pick Bidding Progress, Assignment Status, Review Progress, or Workload Distribution. Each section's stat tiles summarize totals such as Met Requirement, Avg Bids, Assigned, Overdue Reviews, and Overall Progress.
- 3
Search with the Search reviewers... box (matches name, email, organization, or reviewer number) and click sortable column headers to order by bids, assigned, completed, pending, or overdue.
- 4
On Assignment Status, use the ? icons next to the Avg Affinity and Avg Bid columns to understand the score scales. On Workload Distribution, read the bar chart's color bands and the over-loaded / under-loaded lists to rebalance assignments.
Tips
On Bidding Progress, the Not Started tile and the gray "Not Started" badges tell you exactly who hasn't bid. Reach out before bidding closes so the matching solver has real preferences to work with.
The Over-loaded (red) and Under-loaded (amber) lists in Workload Distribution pinpoint imbalance. Use them as a worklist, then make the actual changes in the Reviewer Assignment tab.
